Name: Edith C. Riddell Date: May 22nd, 1921 - November 20th, 2009 Obituary: Edith Carol Riddell, 88, died Tuesday morning November 17, 2009 at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, PA. Edith was born May 22,1921 in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of Harry and Caroline Heiberg. Her beloved husband, John G. Riddell, preceded her in death. She is survived by her three children; Janet Copeland of Lakeland, FL, Douglas Riddell and his wife, Cathy of Cincinnati, OH and John Riddell and his wife Lauren of New Castle, DE, five grandchildren; Bradley Copeland, Beth Finch, Douglas Riddell, Kenneth Riddell, and John Graham Riddell, and five great-grandchildren; William, Eliza and Mae Copeland and Emily and Peyton Finch. Edith was a long time member of Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, PA where she enjoyed golfing and playing competitive bridge. She was resident at Waverly Retirement Community in Gladwyne, PA where she was the resident Wii Bowling Champion. A private family funeral service was held on Friday November 20, 2009 at Chadwick & McKinney Funeral Home in Ardmore, PA followed by her interment at West Laurel Hill Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship, P.O. Box 808, Southeastern, PA 19399.
