CHARLOTTE M. CHADWICK, March 26, 1933 – July 15, 2020 Charlotte M. Chadwick, Indianapolis, IN, former long-time resident of Ardmore, died July 15 after a lengthy illness. In death, her baptism is now complete. Mrs. Chadwick was born in Indianapolis, on March 26, 1933, the eldest child of Claude J. and Louise Pearson Main. Raised in Shelbyville, she married Raymond A. Chadwick on January 28, 1956. Following his death, Mrs. Chadwick returned to Indiana to be near her family. The Chadwicks were the parents of the Rev. Ruth Chadwick Moore (Mark S. Moore), Carmel, IN, and Philip Chadwick (Maryam Sharif), Long Island City, NY; and the grandparents of Hadley E.C. Moore, Carmel; John P.C. Moore, Carmel; and Emma A.C. Moore, Denver, CO; all of whom survive Mrs. Chadwick, together with a brother, Robert S. Main (Jan), Indianapolis; two sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Main, Bloomington, IN, and Beverly Chadwick White, Lawrenceville, GA; a brother-in-law, John Stallings, Lafayette, IN; and ten nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sara M. Stallings; and a brother, Stephen P. Main. Mrs. Chadwick attended Franklin (IN) College; graduated from Indiana University School of Nursing, Indianapolis; and earned a bachelor of science degree from Rosemont College. Through the years, Mrs. Chadwick worked as a registered nurse at Bryn Mawr Hospital and Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Philadelphia; managed an adult daycare ministry at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church; and worked with her husband at Chadwick (now Chadwick & McKinney) Funeral Home, Ardmore. Mrs. Chadwick was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ardmore and served as an ordained ruling elder there. She was a former moderator of the Committee on Preparation for Ministry of the Presbytery of Philadelphia. In Indianapolis, she worshipped at Northminster Presbyterian Church, where her daughter is associate pastor. Mrs. Chadwick will be buried next to her husband of 55 years in the churchyard of Washington Memorial Chapel, Valley Forge, following a private graveside service.
