Ellen I. Newcombe

April 5, 1945 - June 12, 2022

Ellen Inez Newcombe (nee Mikulak), of Wynnewood, Pa, died surrounded by family on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the age of 77. She was born in Madison, Wisconsin to the late Peter and Inez Mikulak. She graduated from Central High School in St. Paul, Mn and received her B.A. from Macalester College, her M.A. from Kent State University and her M.Ed. from Temple University. Her career spanned many years in the education field including teaching, research and development, and administration of technology services. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and traveling. She is preceded in death by her husband, Christopher. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Andrea, Christina Dahlheimer (Damon), and Caroline (Matt Richerson), and two granddaughters, Isabel and Meredith, and a brother and a sister. The family will receive guests on Saturday, June 18 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at her late residence. If so desired, contributions may be made in her memory to the Nature Conservancy.
