Jeanne L LeBuhn February 20, 1937 - February 7, 2022 Jeanne died peacefully on Monday February 7th. She was born in Sioux CIty, Iowa to Edith Archer Niemeier and Ralph H Niemeier. She earned a BA in education from Iowa State. After graduation she taught second grade until her children were born. She was an avid golfer, swimmer, and philanthropist. She practiced tai chi. She taught Sunday school at the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church for over 20 years. With a group of church friends, she took the train downtown to read with inner city kids and collected books for their Book Bank. With her Pi Phi sorority sisters, she organized fundraisers for the Epilepsy Foundation of Philadelphia. With her PEO sisters, she helped raise tuition funds for women to attend school. She walked for ALS and cancer research. Sometimes known by neighborhood kids as The Cookie Lady, she was bustling full of life and usually doing something for someone else. Jeanne was preceded in death by her brother John Niemeier, husband of 58 years William J LeBuhn and son William C LeBuhn. She leaves behind her daughter Carol S Lee, son-in-law Allen Lee and son Peter B LeBuhn, grandchildren Cori Lee, Emma Lee, Kelsey LeBuhn, Hanna LeBuhn and Nate LeBuhn and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Jeanne's life will be held on March 26th 1:00 in the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church Chapel.
