Nancy Roberts Gardiner

July 28, 1938 - December 7, 2021

Nancy Roberts Gardiner, 83, long time resident of Rosemont, PA passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2021 with family and her devoted caregiver Annie Kota by her side. The daughter of the late Thomas Joseph Roberts and Daisy Rama Roberts, Nancy was born July 28, 1938 in New York, NY. She grew up in Houston, TX and Atlanta, GA where she acquired her endearing Southern accent recognized by all. Nancy graduated from Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC and worked for Wyeth Pharmaceutical Company in Radnor. Nancy was an incredibly gracious and inspiring woman. She always had a warm smile, a sparkle in her eyes, a fun sense of humor, and a wonderful spirit. Nancy had a caring interest in people and a gift for making everyone feel special, important, and loved. On September 19, 1959, Nancy married her beloved Edward E. Gardiner at The Church of the Redeemer in Bryn Mawr. They enjoyed fifty-six wonderful years of marriage and raised their family together. Nancy was the guiding light for their three children, always providing for their needs and nurturing their growth. She was also known to be a confidant and always willing to lend a listening ear and a guiding hand to assist those around her. Through kindness and a positive outlook, she instilled confidence in all. In 1976, Nancy orchestrated the family’s move to Bear Creek Village which included settling in a new home and community where many fond family memories were made. Nancy was the devoted mother of Edward T. Gardiner and his wife Margaret of Acton, MA; Lisa Gardiner Davis and her husband Bob of Gulph Mills, PA; and Whitney Gardiner and his wife Amy of Wilson, WY. Loving grandmother of Eddie Gardiner, Elliot Davis, Jack Gardiner, Mason Davis, August Gardiner, and Ava Gardiner. Dear sister of the late Carol Roberts and the late Connie Rama Pydych and sister-in-law of Charles Pydych, and the late Gray and late Muzzy Halton. Caring aunt to many nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at Church of the Redeemer in Bryn Mawr. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brandywine Valley SPCA https://bvspca.org/donate/ would be appreciated.
