Nancy Lynne Sabatini of Phoenixville, born August 25th, 1951, passed away peacefully at home on February 13th, 2021. She was 69 years old. Nancy is predeceased by her mother and father, Alice and James Wiggins of Ardmore. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Joseph Sabatini, her two daughters Karen Sabatini and Michelle Sabatini Gump (Christopher), and her adoring grandson Ryan Gump. She is also survived by her brother Robert Wiggins (Lois) as well as her beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a great great niece. Nancy was born in Bryn Mawr and grew up in Ardmore. She often reminisced about her happy childhood on Simpson Road and attended St. Mary’s Episcopal Church where she was a member of the choir. She attended Lower Merion High School, class of 1969, where she was a cheerleader and ran track & field. Nancy married Joseph on July 10th, 1971. They met at her favorite spot in the world, the beach. Nancy grew up going to Stone Harbor, NJ and continued that tradition with her family every year. Besides Stone Harbor, Nancy enjoyed other trips with her husband to Hilton Head Island, The Outer Banks, Siesta Key, and Hawaii. She also traveled out west visiting Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Jackson Hole, and Bryce Canyon, Zion, and Yellowstone National Parks. She loved shopping in local towns with her friends and daughters. Nancy also enjoyed gardening in her yard, swimming, and spending time at home making memories. She had a passion for music and attended several live concerts including Summer Jam at Watkins Glen and the John Williams concert at the Kimmel Center. Nancy’s career started at Lower Merion School District as a Special Education Aide. She loved her time there until she transitioned to a stay at home mom to raise her daughters. When she returned to the workforce, she worked at Malvern Federal Bank for 17 years as an accounting assistant until she retired in 2016. She always had a special bond with her coworkers. Nancy was a loving wife and mother. She always was present with her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed family outings to places like the Philadelphia Zoo, Phillies games, Radnor Rolls Skating Rink, Fenimore Woods Park to feed the ducks, and of course the beach. She could always be found cutting a rug on the dance floor and having a good time at family celebrations. Nancy was a very special person that brought joy to many especially her husband and children. Her generous and kind spirit will truly be missed by all who knew her. The family will receive guests on Wednesday March 3rd. from 10 AM to !2 Noon at the Funeral Home. All are required to wear facial covering, practice social distancing and we will allow 25 guests in the funeral home on a rotational basis. A Private Memorial Service will be held at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to PBS WHYY
